As our daily lives become more and more digital some things fall by the way side as they are replaced by newer, “better” devices.

This simple observation started as a discussion among colleagues and nerds in a bar one evening. We filmed a series of videos showing not only the handling but also the socio-cultural practices that came and went with our obsolete technical equipment. It became an unexpected youTube success and for reasons unknown to me, it became popular especially in South America. We still get lots of comments, nominations and interview requests from there and the website was exhibited at an annual art exhibition in Mexico City in the summer of 2013.

But technology moves on: Due to a change of Googles APIs, our highly customized brand channel on youTube became obsolete itself But we quickly built a standard channel to keep the videos online.
